Phiten, the maker of the titanium necklace and metal-infused wellness products, announced an endorsement deal with its first official NHL athlete, Buffalo Sabres' star center and alternate captain, Derek Roy.

“I've been a long-time fan of Phiten's titanium sports accessories and I'm thrilled to represent the company's brand in the NHL,” said Roy.

Roy, a Canadian hockey player from Ottawa, Ontario, was drafted by the Sabres in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft and made his debut with the team during the 2002-2003 NHL season. As center, Roy's speed and excellent vision on the ice make him a top playmaker who is known for his ability to assist on goals. Combined with a keen eye to quickly pick out openings and snipe goaltenders, Roy also has a knack for piling on points throughout the season making him a valuable skater for the Sabres.

Roy, who is often seen wearing his Phiten white S-Pro bracelet during game play, joins an array of elite Phiten athletes that include stars from the MLB, NBA, NFL, PGA Tour and more.

“We're excited to have an impact player like Derek on our team to officially introduce our brand to NHL fans,” said Joe Furuhata, public relations and marketing manager of Phiten USA. “We've seen strong grassroots popularity among players and fans for our products and Derek will be an integral part of helping us expand our NHL presence.”
