Golf & Tennis Pro Shop, Inc. will open two PGA TOUR Superstores in the Dallas, Texas area in spring 2007. The new stores, which will be approximately 65,000 to 70,000 square feet each, mark GTPS’ first stores in the Southwest. They will be located in the northern Dallas suburb of Plano.

The two new PGA TOUR Superstores will carry the largest selection of golf equipment, apparel, shoes, accessories and golf-themed home décor offered in the Dallas area. Tennis apparel, equipment and services will also be available and each store will have an indoor tennis court.

New Superstores Planned For Other Cities In Addition To Dallas

GTPS will also open additional PGA TOUR Superstore locations in Orlando, Fla.; Houston, Texas; Phoenix, Ariz.; and the Southern California cities of Los Angeles and San Diego in the near future.

“We’re very excited about opening our Superstores in Dallas in the spring and the additional markets in the near future,” said Bill Hamlin, chief executive officer of GTPS. “We offer expert assistance coupled with access to state-of-the-art technology and we carry an extraordinary inventory of products. At PGA TOUR Superstores, recreational players have access to the kind of resources that are available to the pros on tour.”

The PGA TOUR Superstore franchise was launched in 2004 with two stores in Myrtle Beach, S.C. By 2005, Golf Digest had named PGA TOUR Superstore the “Best Off-Course Golf Shop” in Myrtle Beach-a town that has nearly 100 golf shops.

In March 2005, GTPS opened its first Atlanta-area PGA TOUR Superstore in Roswell, Ga. Two other Atlanta-area Superstores soon followed and a fourth will open in the upscale suburb of Buckhead, Ga. in September 2006.

“Golf and tennis players like our stores because our top priority is helping them to improve their games,” said Hamlin. “We have experts on staff and we maintain an inventory that enables us to fit each customer with the club or racquet that’s just right for that individual.”
