PGA Tour Superstore, which has 33 locations, plans to open five to seven stores per year and have 60 plus stores by 2022, according to a report from Women’s Wear Daily.
The report indicated that PGA Tour Superstore will explore into many Toys ‘R’ Us locations.
The report also detailed that current comps are up 15 percent and sales are up overall by 23 percent, as the chain believes it’s benefiting from providing putting greens in the store to test product and other services
“We can re-grip your golf club the same day,” Matt Corey, PGA Tour Superstore’s chief marketing officer, told the newspaper. “The last time I checked, Amazon can’t do those things.”
