Joshua Deal, PGA general manager at Bobby Jones Golf Course in Atlanta, GA, was elected the 29th president of the PGA of America’s Georgia Section.

“I’m deeply honored by the opportunity and fully mindful of the responsibilities that come with this role,” said Deal. “Understanding you’ve got a two-year window to make an impact and to leave it better than you found it is just hitting me. So, the work starts now.

“My role with Bobby Jones Links and overseeing several different types of properties within the portfolio and Section gives me a unique viewpoint. I have gotten to know a lot of the Georgia PGA Professionals, and we serve a lot of them through Bobby Jones Links,” continued Deal.

Deal is a 2009 graduate of the University of Connecticut and 2011 Professional Golfers Career College. He was elected to PGA membership in 2016. He has been General Manager at Bobby Jones Golf Course since March 2022 while also serving as the VP of Operations for Bobby Jones Links, a PGA member-founded club management company headquartered in Alpharetta, GA. Deal will also serve as the president of the PGA Reach Georgia Foundation.

“Joshua Deal is an excellent leader, collaborator and someone who can be instrumental in turning a vision into a working plan for success,” said Bobby Jones Links Founding Partner Whitney Crouse. “We look forward to watching the continued success of the Georgia PGA with Josh’s leadership.”
