Petzl appointed Dale Bard as Sport Division Manager. In his new position, Bard will be responsible for the overall sales direction of the Sport Division, and will work closely with Petzl's marketing department to reinforce Petzl's leadership position in the climbing category.
“With his depth of knowledge of the climbing market and his proven sales management experience, Dale is an obvious fit for our team,” said John Pieper, Sales Manager at Petzl America. “Dale will be a tremendous asset as we continue to develop a broader array of products for climbers and fortify Petzl's presence in the climbing industry”.
“To say Dale Bard is an experienced climber is really an understatement,” says Marketing Director, John Evans, “He comes to Petzl with over 33 years of climbing under his belt, and is one of the most respected all-around climbers in the country.” In addition to his climbing resume, Bard brings 10 years of work experience in the outdoor industry, including sales and dealer services positions. Prior to joining Petzl, Bard served as International Sales Manager for Five Ten.
