Petzl hired Jesse Edmundson as headlamp division manager. Edmundson, known through the industry as “Sus”, has moved to the SLC
area from Boise, Idaho, where he helped launch and served as General
Manager of the Front Boise Climbing Club.

In running the Front, Edmundson managed all operations, marketing, and monthly sales and revenue goals. Prior to his years in Boise, Edmundson served as CEO of Asana Climbing, a manufacturer of custom pad systems for bouldering walls. A dedicated climber himself, Edmundson also coached the Treasure Valley, Idaho YMCA's climbing team.

“To me, Petzl has always been an icon within the worlds of verticality and lighting. Their innovative designs have not only influenced and shaped headlamp evolution, but created the capabilities for individuals to attain their goals,” said Edmundson. “Petzl has been involved with some of the greatest achievements and challenges that the climbing and outdoor sport world has known. I am proud to be a part of a team that strives to advance future achievements, be it athletic, industrial, or environmental.”

As the Headlamp Division Manager, Edmundson will be directly responsible for sales and product management, market research, and for developing new opportunities while servicing Petzl's existing customers. Additionally, he will develop sales strategy for the headlamp lines and oversee any new product launches.
