The Footwear Distributors and Retailers of America (FDRA) announced that Peter Mangione will be stepping down as president of the association. According to a statement, Mangione, president of the organization since 1981, will assist the organization in recruiting a new hire to the position.


Mangione is a specialist in government relations and international trade having practiced law with one of the U.S.' largest law firms, Weil, Gotshal and Manges, and was head of government relations for the Associated Merchandising Corporation (AMC), the overseas buying organization for many U.S. department stores.

 

Mangione is also president of Footwear Open Trading Coalition (FOTC), Treasurer of Footwear Retailers and Shippers Association (FRASA), and President of FDRA Political Action Committee (FDRAPAC).
