The co-owner of D&R Sports Center, a hunt & fish store in Nanticoke, PA, was sentenced Thursday in federal court for conspiring to illegally ship military equipment from the U.S. to Russia.
Mark Komoroski, 48, was given 32 months in prison by Senior U.S. District Court Judge Edwin M. Kosik, who also imposed a fine of $10,000 and two years of supervised release, according to the Wilkes Barre Times-Leader.
A separate indictment against D&R Sports Center was dismissed.
Komoroski will have to report on Aug. 19 to begin serving his sentence.
The U.S. Attorney's office charged Komoroski January 2008 with
conspiring with another man to smuggle equipment, including rifle
scopes, firearm magazines and other military equipment out of the United States to be sold to persons in Russia.
