The University of Pennsylvania, Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics, and Nike have reached an agreement on a new five-year contract that will keep the Quakers in Nike through the 2025/26 athletic year.
Under the agreement, Nike will remain the exclusive athletic footwear, apparel and accessories sponsor of all 33 varsity teams for the University of Pennsylvania.
Penn has had a strong relationship with Nike dating back to 2009 when the men’s and women’s basketball teams first signed with the brand. In 2015, Penn inked its first all-school contract, expanding to support the department.
“We are thrilled to continue our relationship with Nike to outfit our student-athletes, coaches and staff,” said Rudy Fuller, interim director of athletics and recreation, The University Of Pennsylvania. “As we begin to return to a new normal following this challenging past year, it is our intent to over-deliver on the student-athlete experience for our young men and women who have been so negatively impacted by the pandemic. Part of that goal is to continue to provide our student-athletes with the best footwear, apparel and accessories which Nike offers as the premier brand in this space.”
