Payless ShoeSource announced that Andrew Meyer has been named senior vice president and general merchandise manager for Payless' women's and accessories businesses. Meyer most recently served as vice president and merchandise manager, women's footwear for Famous Footwear.

In his role Meyer will be responsible for leading the women's and accessories merchandise buying teams and setting product strategies aimed at democratizing fashion and connecting with consumers. He will oversee product creation and merchandising for the women's footwear and accessory collections, covering a range of brands including Dexter, Brash, Airwalk, and Payless designer labels by Christian Siriano, Lela Rose, Isabel Toledo and Silvia Tcherassi, as well as all accessory products for women, men and kids including handbags, socks, scarves, jewelry and Payless' latest fashion accessory — beauty and body products. In this role, Meyer will partner with the Payless marketing team to communicate the Payless brand message through on-trend merchandise and other messaging initiatives targeting specific customer segments.

Prior to Famous Footwear, Meyer served as a senior buyer for women's and children's footwear and senior buyer of men's footwear at Just for Feet, a division of Footstar, Inc. He started his merchandise buying career as a buyer in women's and kid's footwear for Venture Stores, a division of the May Company, in 1986, and later served as byer, vice president and divisional merchandise manager at Pic and Pay Stores. Meyer earned a bachelor's degree in economics and a bachelor's degree in marketing from Saint Louis University.
