Patagonia appointed Stephan Hagenbusch, formerly at Black Diamond Equipment, as marketplace director, EMEA.

An outdoor veteran with over 20 years of experience in the industry, he was at Black Diamond for 10 years, most recently as managing director for Europe. Previously, Hagenbusch was marketing manager for Germany/Central Europe at Amer Sports, working with Salomon and Suunto.

As the new marketplace director for the EMEA, Hagenbusch joins Patagonia’s Amsterdam headquarters, overseeing wholesale, e-commerce, and stores in the region. He is also tasked with supporting projects with customers and practitioner communities, reporting to Nina Hajikhanian, Patagonia’s general manager for the EMEA.

“We knew we needed someone with a blend of technical expertise and creativity, who shares our passion for outdoor sports and brings a healthy dose of pragmatic collaboration. Stephan possesses all these qualities, and we are eager to immerse him in Patagonia’s operations,” said Hajikhanian.
