Since 1963 Park Tool has been designing and manufacturing bicycle repair products that help professional and amateur mechanics properly clean, maintain and repair bicycles, and its products can be found in most professional bicycle mechanic’s toolboxes.
This week the company rolled out its newly redesigned website, combining expanded product information with an increased educational section focused on helping professional and home mechanics diagnose and repair bicycles.
The site, which was built by Clockwork Active Media of Minneapolis, MN, features a clean, bold design making it easier to find the right tool or repair.
“Our old site served us well for a long time, but over those years we’ve become a go-to place for bicycle maintenance and repair and we wanted to give more attention to Repair Help with the new site,” said Park Tools President/Owner and Chief Mechanic Eric Hawkins.
Landing on the new home page you are presented with two options: “Tools” and “Fix It”.
“The Repair Help section is designed to simply and easily show how a repair is done with written step-by-step instructions and videos showing how to do the repair. These simple-to-follow tutorials give veteran and aspiring mechanics more of the knowledge and confidence they’ll need to tackle a repair or maintenance project,” said Hawkins.
When a user clicks on “Tools” they’re directed to the nearly 450 tools, stands and maintenance products currently in the Park Tool line.
For consumers looking for a particular tool to help with a repair, the new site will continue the Buy Local Now feature that directs consumers to a location near them showing where they can find what they need.
