Paka, the manufacturer of performance-based alpaca fiber gear, announced that in preparation for its transition this fall from direct-to-consumer to driving growth through select outdoor specialty retailers, it is expanding its national sales team.
“Bringing Paka into physical retail is about more than shelf presence; it’s about connection,” said Founder and CEO Kris Cody. “We’ve seen the power of in-person experience in the first year of our flagship store in Cusco, Peru. There’s something powerful about being able to touch and feel the fiber, to understand the quality and hear the story behind it. Now, we’re excited to introduce that immersive experience to customers in the U.S.”
Paka has partnered with seven sales agencies for regional wholesale representation, including:
- Vim Sales Group, Pacific Northwest (AK, WA, OR, MT, ID)
- Paralell33 Sales, Southeast (CA, NV, AZ, HI)
- Alpin Sales, Rockies (UT, WY, CO, NM)
- Split Rock Sales, Upper Great Lakes (ND, SD, NE, KS, MI, WI, MN, IL)
- Specialty Sales Reps, Lower Great Lakes (MI, OH, IN, KY)
- Round Pond Sales, Northeast (ME, NH, VT, CT, MA, NY, DE, NJ, PA, MD, DC, RI)
- Flamand Sports, Southeast (NC, SC, TN, VA, GA, FL, LA, MI, AL)
Christian Castellani, director of Wholesale Sales at Paka, said in a media release, “We’re investing in strong, localized partnerships to ensure that Paka’s story, values and product innovations are communicated with authenticity and impact at the retail level. With our new agency partners, we’re building a foundation for a wholesale network rooted in relationships and ready to grow.”
