London Fog Industries, which employs 500 people in the United States and overseas, has eliminated 36 jobs at its Seattle headquarters as a result of the company’s organizational restructuring. According to President and Chief Executive Officer, William Dragon, Jr., the layoffs represent a 7 percent reduction in staff company-wide, and will bring the total Seattle workforce to 122.
“The decision to reduce staff is always difficult, and we sincerely appreciate the dedicated service of those who have been affected,” said Dragon.

London Fog Industries recently outlined a strategic initiative to separate its three primary divisions-Pacific Trail, London Fog Trade and London Fog Factory Outlet Stores-into independently managed businesses to support the growth of all brands through individual leadership and dedicated resources.

Under the restructure, the new Pacific Trail Division and the headquarters for London Fog Industries remain in Seattle. The London Fog Trade and London Fog Factory Outlet Stores Divisions will transition to leadership groups based in Toronto and Fairfield, Connecticut, respectively.
Dragon added that 26 of the 36 affected associates are part of the team that will assist in the London Fog transition between now and through the end of the year.
