Pacific Cycle Inc. promoted Steve Reeds to the position of EVP, GM of Global IBD. Reeds most recently served as VP, GM of InSTEP, Pacific Cycle’s popular line of joggers, strollers and trailers, and prior to that he served as Pacific Cycle’s VP, IBD Purchasing.

“We’ve achieved really positive momentum with the IBD division,” said Reeds. “Our brands are in demand, we’ve moved GT back to an IBD-exclusive distribution strategy that is paying off, and we’re treating dealers with respect by helping them to remain truly independent and supplying them with product they sell through. I look forward to further strengthening Pacific’s position in the IBD.”

Forrest Yelverton has been promoted to VP of Engineering and Quality. Formerly Pacific Cycle’s Director of Engineering and Testing, Yelverton will continue to build a department that provides engineering, design and quality assurance to the IBD product line, as well as across additional products and product categories in the Pacific/Dorel Outdoor Recreation and Leisure division.

Prior to the integration of GT Bicycles to the Pacific Cycle family, Yelverton joined GT in 1989 as an engineer and custom frame builder. He went on to create and manage the GT Colorado Division’s manufacturing facility, and through the next 17 years built and managed the company’s engineering and testing departments.

Forrest and his team will also endeavor to work with the overseas Dorel divisions to fully utilize the growing resources being developed by the corporation.

“Pacific Cycle is truly dedicated to quality, superior design and engineering with every one of our products,” said Yelverton. “I’m pleased to continue our charge for excellence with our bicycle line, our other business divisions, and to lend our expertise with quality assurance to our company’s other divisions.”

“These promotions are well deserved,” said Pacific Cycle President and COO, Jeff Frehner. “Both Steve and Forrest have done outstanding work for the company and we’re pleased to know that they’ll continue to provide exceptional leadership and dedication to our organization.”
