Outdoor Sports Marketing (OSM) has changed how it assigns its reps in an effort to raise the bar on what retailers and vendors should expect from their rep agencies.

The agency which represents outdoor brands in nine Southeastern states, has divided their nine state territory in the southeastern United States into three smaller, market focused regions.  The agency has assigned an apparel and accessory lead as well as a hardgoods and footwear sales professional to each territory in a bid to offer better sales, inventory management, events, marketing and and merchandising skills to their customers. The shift will allow OSM sales reps to focus on retailers and vendors that share the same sales and service cycles.

“Customers will have the opportunity to collaborate with multiple members of our team, offering fresh eyes and new insights in their business,” said Nolan Davis, co-owner of OSM.

Chuck Millsaps, Minister of Culture and co-owner of Great Outdoor Provision Co, a Grassroots Outdoor Alliance member based in Raleigh NC, endorses the new structure. “Our growth with OSM reflects the agency’s keen ability to adapt to market changes. OSM’s new business units provide key support for the creative energy we bring to outdoor retail,” said Millsaps.

In addition, OSM’s sales force reorganization is supported by a full office team of unparalleled experience. CRM implementation, accounting, budget allocation, order management, new business development and showroom merchandising are some of the tasks removed from the Sales force and managed by the five member office team.

“The culture of our business is very important to us and maintaining and improving our company structure is critical to our success,” said Rion Smith, OSM co-owner. “These new business units, within our collaborative framework, position our team to be the best at what they do: listening, planning, and ultimately growing our customers business while overcoming the traditional expectations to set new sustainable standards.”
