Outdoor & Sports Company Inc. (OSC), the North American arm of Outdoor & Sports Company, Ltd. based in Manchester, UK, named Bill Supple as managing director for North America. Supple has worked for the parent company of the UK-based Mountain Equipment and Bridgedale brands since 2019.
“Both brands are innovators and leaders in their segments in Europe,” said Supple. “With all the work I’ve done in the background for Mountain Equipment over the past several years, I’m looking forward to putting that knowledge into action and building it and Bridgedale into market leaders here.”
Supple joined OSC as a consultant as director of brand and business development for Mountain Equipment in the U.S. In his new role, Supple will oversee marketing, sales and operations for Mountain Equipment apparel and gear and Bridgedale socks.
Before working as a consultant, Supple worked for 17 years at Mammut, where he was the president and CEO of Mammut North America. Supple will continue to be based in Vermont.
