Registration is open for OR Winter Online, its digital marketplace and online experience. Opening January 6, 2021, the virtual event will include key Summit Days from January 20-23 through March 19, 2021.

“We’re looking forward to our ‘Opening Day’ when Outdoor Retailer Winter Online kicks off in the new year,” said Marisa Nicholson, Outdoor Retailer senior vice president and show director. “This is more than a three-day show. It’s a winter-long marketplace where brands and reps can meet with buyers and media at any time from January to March, where we can see new and innovative gear all in one place and where everyone in the industry can connect and learn. Winter Online is efficient for business, and it’s an important opportunity for our community to come together.”

When the virtual event opens on January 6, retailers can visit brand booths and schedule appointments. Education also begins on January 6 with its kick-off breakfast. The learning opportunities continue with sessions from OR, SIA, OIA, including SIA’s Industry + Intelligence program on January 19, 2021.

From January 20-23, the Summit Days will engage experts for advocacy conversations and trend reports, plus community events. Scheduled sessions will include panels from Camber Outdoors, NPD, The Conservation Alliance, and WGSN, among others. The winners of the third annual OR Innovation Awards will be announced on January 21.

National and international retailers, buyers and media will be able to connect through the digital experience from January 6 to March 19. Among the brands exhibiting are Fischer Sports, Helly Hansen, Scott Sports, Volcom, Smith Sport Optics, Meier Skis, W.L. Gore, Phunkshun Wear, Sweet Protection, Bula Sports, Primaloft, Fjällräven, Darn Tough Vermont, Asolo, Schoeller Textil USA, Clif Bar & Co, Masterfit, Killtec, EcoVessel, and CAMP.

As a result of COVID-19, OR Winter Online replaces its in-person trade show. With artificial intelligence, the digital marketplace will infer a user’s likes and dislikes, suggest matches and create a tailored experience to find products, brands, retailers, and education to meet a user’s needs. Winter Online will also feature streamlined communication between brands, buyers and media with live video conferencing and one-on-one discussions; data-driven lead generation in real-time; personalized dashboards; networking opportunities; and schedule of education.
