Outdoor Divas is moving its flagship store in Boulder from Pearl Street Mall to a shopping center two miles away. The move trades a location in a prestigious and pricey downtown pedestrian mall for a shopping center anchored by Whole Foods that offers plenty of free parking.

Outdoor Divas Owner Kim Walker told Boulder’s Daily Camera newspaper that free parking, a smaller but more useable space and lower rent guided her decision. Outdoor Divas will continue to operate a second store from a location off East Third Avenue in Denver.

Outdoor Divas, which specializes in selling snowsport and other outdoor apparel to women, expects to move to the 1,900-square foot space in Crossroads Commons at 2317 30th St. in the first week of August. The retailer leased 6,000 square feet at its Pearl Street location but did not use all the space.

Pearl Street Mall has attracted many outdoor and action sports brands. Outdoor Divas store there is nestled between a Prana and Crocs store and shares the block with Billabong. Gaiam Living, Golite, Patagonia, Trek Light Gear and Volcom operate stores on the next block.
