This holiday season, outdoor DIVAS will be helping raise awareness and gear for Big City Mountaineers with an in-store “Giving Tree”. The Giving Tree will list products ranging from $10.95 to $200. Products collected will all be donated to BCM's Golden-based girls program in Colorado. BCM has committed to grow its women's program to no less than half of its 2006 trips and this won't happen without the help of committed individuals and organizations such as outdoor DIVAS.

Customers interested in giving back this season can pick any ornament they choose off the tree. Outdoor Divas staff will be on hand to help customers find the product and ring them up. Products range from technical socks, hats, and base layers, to soft shells and down jackets. Customers will leave the product as well as the ornament with outdoor DIVAS who will transport all the donations to Big City Mountaineers after December 25th. BCM's program addresses the need to provide meaningful mentoring experiences for urban, under resourced teens participating in existing youth development programs in the Denver-Metro area and across the Unites States. Products from the outdoor DIVAS Giving Tree are being raised specifically for the Colorado girls' courses at Big City Mountaineers.

“At outdoor DIVAS, we believe that by making our livelihood providing products and services to women who enjoy recreating in the outdoors, we incur a philanthropic responsibility to give back to women and the places where they undertake their adventures. Our Giving Tree is a means for us to help future generations of women share the enjoyment we find in the outdoors.” said owner and founder of outdoor DIVAS Kim Walker.
