Otis Technology promoted Erin Bush to VP of operations. Stephen Houten joined the Otis team as government sales manager.
Bush has been with the organization since 2006 when she was hired as a purchasing agent. She became a senior buyer role and over several years continued a streak of promotions including purchasing manager and materials manager, where she oversaw the purchasing and inventory departments.
When the director of operations role opened up, Bush took an interim role while the interview process commenced. However, Bush performed well and she was promoted permanently to that position in 2015. She became a member of the senior management team, driving strategic direction for the organization.
In January 2018, Bush was again promoted to vice president of operations where she continues to spearhead operations for the organization. She is responsible for ensuring manufacturing, production, inventory, purchasing, shipping & receiving and facilities/grounds initiatives are carried out according to strategy while also exceeding customer expectations and providing quality products. Bush also ensures Otis meets AS 9100/ISO 9001 standards and operates under lean principles.
“Erin has been instrumental as a leader in the organization. She is dedicated to the success of the organization and continues to think strategically. Her leadership has positioned Otis as a manufacturing powerhouse,” states Leonard Puzzuoli, chief executive officer of Otis Technology. He continues, “we are proud of all Erin’s accomplishments and look forward to seeing continued success in her new role.”
In November 2017, Houten joined Otis Technology as government sales manager, responsible for the Central United States. He previously held the role as Regional Sales Manager for ADS, Inc. Houten dedicated over 32 years in the U.S. Army, Army Reserve and Army National Guard. Steve also served his community as a police officer for 23 years, six of which he was on the SWAT Team.
In his role at Otis, Houten will be responsible for expanding Otis’ presence in the law enforcement channel as well as growing the military customer base.
“We are really excited to welcome Steve to our team,” states Brad McIntyre, vice president of government & international sales for Otis Technology. He continues, “not only does he bring a wealth of sales experience to the team, but he is our target customer having spent a majority of his life dedicated to protecting our country in his tenure in the military and law enforcement. His insight and relationships will be integral to our team and generating new opportunities.”
