Osiris Shoes named Tony Chen as president and CEO and Doug Weston as vice president. Chen and Weston are both founding partners of the company, and each
have over twenty years of Action Sports and brand management. Chen
previously served as the VP of International sales, and Weston as the
National Accounts Director.
“I am very enthusiastic about the opportunity to take on this role. Like the majority of companies, we had to make tough decisions regarding expense reduction. This really challenged our personnel to be adroit with our remaining resources. Despite the problematic economy, for 2009 we still achieved our forecasted numbers, and handed out quarterly bonuses. We are optimistic that we can continue this momentum into next year and are planning for expansion in select areas of the company. ” said Chen.
Chen and Weston have been in their current capacities since the
beginning of 2009, and their strategic management plan has lead to
progressive sales growth and profitability for the first three quarters
of the year in an extremely challenging economic environment.
“I welcome this opportunity to work with Tony, and our excellent staff of employees, to bring the Osiris brand to it’s full potential globally. I’m fortunate in having great partners to work with, and we all handle our specific niches of the business. This position will allow me to blend my experience in product, sales and operations to help fully realize Osiris’ market position as the leader in footwear for the Skateboarding lifestyle. We have strong retail partners, both domestically and internationally, that have helped us to continue to hit our goals despite the challenging economic conditions of the past year. I’m looking forward to strengthening these relationships as we develop new markets for the brand”
