Orvis will open a 7,500 square foot store in November in Phillips Place, a luxury retail center in Charlotte, N.C. The retailer of fly-fishing and hunting equipment and apparel operates about 40 stores in 25 U.S. states plus another 25 in the U.K. The Charlotte location will be the second in the state, in addition to Raleigh.
“We are excited to be opening a store in Charlotte,” said Tory Myler, retail marketing manager for Orvis Company Store. “Orvis has a large catalog base in the Charlotte area and we are thrilled to now offer a store where they can really experience the Orvis brand.”
Orvis also manages a fly-fishing vacations service, and runs numerous fly fishing schools around the country. Orvis donates 5% of pre-tax profits each year to conservation efforts.
