Ortovox USA Opens New Western DC

Avalanche safety equipment company Ortovox USA has opened a new western U.S. sales and distribution center in West Valley, UT to support its growth. The Ortovox’s West Valley facility, located in a suburb of Salt Lake City, will handle all shipping and receiving for U.S. accounts while serving as the sales center for the company’s new rep force. It's located at the foot of the Wasatch Range, as well as near a major transportation hub.

“New England has served us well as our headquarters and distribution center ever since we incorporated Ortovox USA nearly 14 years ago,” said CEO Marcus Peterson. “However, our growth and overall sales volume are now at a level that we thought the time to be right to move certain operations out West, closer to where the bulk of our products are being sold and used.”

Corporate administrative operations, professional contact, and warranty service will continue to be handled through the headquarters in Hopkinton, MA.

Ortovox USA Opens New Western DC

Avalanche safety equipment company Ortovox USA has opened a new western U.S. sales and distribution center in West Valley, Utah. The facility, located in a suburb of Salt Lake City, has been established to accommodate what the company calls its steady, robust sales growth in recent years.

“New England has served us well as our headquarters and distribution center ever since we incorporated Ortovox USA nearly 14 years ago,” explained company CEO Marcus Peterson. “However, our growth and overall sales volume are now at a level that we thought the time to be right to move certain operations out West, closer to where the bulk of our products are being sold and used.”

Located in the heart of snow country, at the foot of the renowned Wasatch Range, as well as near a major transportation hub, the new facility enables the Ortovox team to provide retailers and snowsports professionals-including guides, patrollers, and educators-with even better service. Ortovox USA already possesses a well-earned reputation as the industry leader for order fulfillment, sales support and post-sale service.

“The proximity of our new headquarters to so many key retailers means we can get orders delivered in a matter of two to three days,” said Peterson. “Not only is this much faster, but it also greatly reduces shipping costs. While benefiting the retailers and our pros, most importantly, it will benefit the end consumer. That’s win-win-win if you ask me,” he added.
