OrthoLite appointed Denny Cowger, who has been providing it legal counsel in Vietnam for three years, as chief administrative officer and general counsel.

Cowger will focus on developing and implementing strategic plans consistent with OrthoLite’s vision and mission, monitoring the management team to produce both short-term and long-term profitability, and counseling the company on global legal issues.

“OrthoLite is on an exciting path, building worldwide recognition as the ultimate comfort insole brand and strengthening relationships with brands across the globe,” said Glenn Barrett, OrthoLite CEO. “As we seek new venues for manufacturing, in-house counsel is critical to help us navigate the local regulations and take advantage of the best opportunities. Denny has been our corporate attorney in Vietnam for the last three years, making him a natural fit for our team.”

Cowger brings more than 10 years of experience in global business development and leadership to OrthoLite, most recently serving as a special counsel for a large U.S. law firm with Asian offices in Vietnam, Myanmar, Oman and Singapore. While managing the firm’s Ho Chi Minh City office, Cowger organized and advised on various corporate, commercial and banking agreements with a primary focus on cross-border deals in Southeast Asia for international companies. Before this role, Cowger previously worked as an associate for both Mayer Brown JSM in Vietnam and Chadbourne & Parke in the United Arab Emirates.

Cowger received his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Chinese Law at the University of Hong Kong, his LL.M. in Transnational Law at Temple University, his Juris Doctor degree at the University of Cincinnati, College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
