Umpqua Holdings Corporation, parent company of Umpqua Bank and Strand Atkinson Williams & York, increased its focus on the Portland market by adding Nike President of USA Operations Gary DeStefano to its board of directors.
“DeStefano’s strategic marketing, brand knowledge and consumer awareness will be an immeasurable asset to Umpqua,” said Ray Davis, president and CEO of Umpqua Holdings Corporation. “Gary is a perfect fit for our board. He is a high-energy executive with a genuine passion for the greater Portland area.”
DeStefano is currently president of Nike USA Operations in Beaverton, Ore. and oversees Nike’s footwear, apparel and equipment businesses for the U.S. region. He is also responsible for all strategic, brand, product and operational initiatives for Nike branded business. DeStefano has worked with Nike for more than 20 years where he began as a customer service area manager and has held various positions including Vice President of USA Sales, Vice President Global Sales and General Manager/Vice President of the Asia Pacific Region.
