Orangetheory Fitness will host a grand opening celebration on August 25 at the company’s new global headquarters in Boca Raton, located at 6000 Broken Sound Parkway NW.
Originally based in Fort Lauderdale, the company’s relocation was fueled by its growth and success, achieving a 108 percent increase in system-wide sales and a 19.3 percent increase in same-store sales in 2016. The grand opening event will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. and will feature live entertainment, hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and private tours of the building and its amenities available to employees.
“In just seven years, Orangetheory Fitness has grown from a single studio in Fort Lauderdale to one of the world’s top fitness franchises with more than 700 locations around the globe, and our new corporate headquarters give us the physical space to grow alongside the brand,” said Dave Long, co-founder and chief executive officer of Orangetheory Fitness. “When building the new facility, we made sure to incorporate elements that represent our company’s dynamic culture and create an environment aligned with our core values. We look forward to unveiling our incredible space during the grand opening event and celebrating with the Boca Raton community.”
The new 36,000-square-foot facility was designed to foster a collaborative work environment using technology, and includes three video conference rooms with air media, an interactive social media wall, a design lab, a green room complete with audio and visual filming and a state of the art Orangetheory Fitness studio where the company’s technology group and workout design team have the ability to test new equipment, wearable technology and exercise templates. The new headquarters also include a franchisee training room to help new franchisees learn how to own and operate an Orangetheory Fitness.
In an effort to encourage a healthy work-life balance for the company’s 100-plus employees, Orangetheory Fitness built a wellness center with an array of amenities, including an infrared sauna, Coldtub polar plunge tub, dreampod, sleeping pods, a massage room with an onsite masseuse, a meditation room and a physical therapy room with an on-site physiotherapist. The brand also employed a full-time wellness manager to coordinate activities and programs for employees that promote healthy lifestyles. An EPOC room will allow employees to enjoy downtime with a hydromassage lounge chair, refreshment bar, a variety of gaming consoles, pool table, shuffleboard, ping pong, five TVs with recessed projector and screen, two kitchens, a micro market and a walk/run track.
“The unwavering commitment and passion from our employees has been a driving force behind our exceptional success, and we’re thrilled our new headquarters have allowed us to expand our offerings to them and reinforce our appreciation of all they do for the brand,” added Long. “The wellness center is a true testament to Orangetheory Fitness’ passionate belief in the importance of following a healthy lifestyle.”
Orangetheory Fitness launched its first studio in Fort Lauderdale, FL in March 2010 and currently has more than 700 studios in 45 states and 13 countries. The fitness franchise is on track to have 900 open studios in 2017.
