Following last years successful debut, Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2006 will feature the 2nd Annual Winter Market Fashion Show at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City, Utah from January 28 to January 31. Exhibitors ranging from global manufacturers to start-ups will present the latest trends for Fall/Winter/Holiday 2006/2007. The emergence of a fashion show at Winter Market is the result of sophisticated outdoor consumers demanding not only innovative style and premium quality, but design that does not compromise performance.
The Winter Market Fashion Show will feature professional models in both mens and womens rugged outerwear, casual apparel, footwear and accessories. This years Fashion Show sponsors, Ex Officio, Gramicci, Sportif and Spyder will be introducing exciting new designs and fabrics: Ex Officio will highlight the growing breadth of its brand, with apparel made for casual sports to technical adventures; Gramicci will show a collection that revitalizes the brands core “funkiness” with 52 proprietary fabrics or finishes between its mens and womens lines; Sportif will feature Aventura Clothing, a high quality womens brand created with a commitment to organic cotton; and Spyder will present a completely revamped collection, showcasing their exclusive designs and fabrics.
Nearly 100 additional brands will be combined into themed segments. The runway presentations will be held in the Salt Palace Meeting Room 251D at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. each day of the Show (11:00 a.m. Show only on Tuesday, January 31).
“The Winter Market Fashion Show provides an excellent opportunity to showcase style innovations from over 100 manufacturers in a single runway show,” said Andy Tompkins, Show Director for Outdoor Retailer. “This show fuses the outdoor industry with the fashion industry, offering an eclectic mix of apparel designed for consumers that take part in everything from urban adventures to backcountry escapes.”
In 2005, the Winter Market Fashion Show attracted an estimated 2,000 attendees over four days, and OR Show producers are confident that this year will be even more successful. Jeffery Burke Productions and Webb Audio Visual, both based in Salt Lake City, will produce the runway presentations.
