The intellectual property and related assets of Olympia Sports, including the trademarks for Olympia Sports, Clever Training and Surf Outfitter, were sold for $180,000 to 54 Glen Cove Realty, LLC at an auction run by Hilco Streambank.
Olympia Sports filed for bankruptcy last September to liquidate its remaining 35 stores.
Assets sold also included customer data for 640,000 customers (with e-mail addresses, mailing addresses and/or SMS numbers), owned image library, and marketplace accounts, according to a filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
Domain names acquired included OlympiaSports.net, CleverTraining.com, SurfOutfitter.com, BrooklynHalf.com, RunColorado.com, and ClothesBuy.com.
Albert Fouerti, a Brooklyn entrepreneur who has been active in the appliance business, represented the buyer at the auction. He is the CEO of Appliances Connection and 1StopCamera are headquartered in Brooklyn, NY.
Other bidders included Scheels Sports, according to court documents.
