OluKai announced the company’s continued partnership of the REI Outessafest, two one-day immersive festivals designed to inspire women and connect them with the outdoors, adventure and music.

The first-of-its-kind festivals will be filled with activities such as yoga and rock climbing, inspirational speakers, outdoor classes including camp cooking and an evening featuring female-led music performances. Tickets are now available at Outessa.com. The festivals are taking place in the Washington, D.C. area and Shakori Hills, NC. Through the partnership, OluKai is the official lifestyle footwear sponsor of the Outessafest.

“We seek to inspire more women to embrace adventure in the outdoors and live a positive and meaningful life,” remarked Melissa Ziegler, director of marketing, OluKai. “We are looking forward to taking part in this incredible, inspirational event to encourage women to live Aloha.”

The Outessafests will kick off with OluKai’s Mindful Meditation & Yoga with Bibi McGill. McGill is a yogi, American guitarist, producer and DJ who is best known as the lead guitarist and musical director of Beyonce’s backing band. In addition to leading the yoga session with OluKai, McGill will be on hand at the OluKai booth to meet festival-goers.

“I’m excited to collaborate with OluKai because of their commitment to honor and preserve Hawaiian Culture with programs that educate and unite communities through art, creativity and sustainable practices,” commented McGill. “With OluKai it’s Anywhere Aloha!”

A curated selection of OluKai footwear will also be available at the OluKai booth and festivalgoers will receive a reusable camp mug with any on-site purchase. OluKai is distributing the mugs as a way to encourage participants to reduce their single-use plastic footprint on Mother Earth.

Outessafest participants will enjoy a day fueled by discovery as they learn to paddle or rock climb with the REI Outdoor School and spend the afternoon and evening listening to the festival’s lineup of female musicians. Other highlights include a hammock zone for relaxing, inspirational speakers and outdoor learning opportunities such as Urban Outdoor Essentials and Outdoor IPhone Photography. There will also be a handful of surprise activations at the festival, which participants can discover throughout the day.
