The Outdoor Industries Women's Coalition has elected Berne Broudy, Jill Bongiolatti and Amy Luther to its Board. The OIWC Board is charged with designing and implementing programming and networking events aimed at helping women achieve their success. Over the past several years, the number of its initiatives has grown, as has general and Board membership. The addition of Broudy, Bongiolatti and Luther brings the Board's total to seventeen.

Berne Broudy is a full-time freelance writer and photographer contributing to a number of publications including GearTrends, Ski Press Magazine, Canoe and Kayak, AMC Outdoors, Backpacker, Ski, Vermont Life, and Backcountry Magazine. Her photography can be viewed on her website at http://www.authenticoutdoors.com. She is an avid skier, hiker, cyclist, climber, and paddler. She has a strong background in fitness and has been practicing and teaching yoga for seven years. Broudy will be helping to further develop OIWC membership.

As Human Resources Generalist for Burton Snowboard, Jill Bongiolatti manages the recruiting process for Burton Snowboard's five brands in the action sports, footwear, apparel, protective equipment and optics markets. In that capacity she advises managers and employees on routine and complex employee relations matters including employee conflicts and disciplinary actions. Bongiolatti has been instrumental in the formation of the OIWC Eastern Chapter in New England. She will serve on the Board as ski industry liaison and will have sponsorship responsibilities.

Amy Luther has been a volunteer and participant in many OIWC events, handling the logistics and execution for the OIWC Backcountry Betty Clinics at last winter's Outdoor Retailer Backcountry Base Camp. Currently the Buyer at Backcountry.Com for women's gear, she's been with the Utah-based online outdoor retailer since their inception, holding a variety of positions including inventory manager and customer service representative. Luther likes to get outside for trail running, yoga, fly-fishing, hiking, backpacking, skiing, climbing, and gardening. She will be assisting with OIWC event planning and execution.
