OIWC announced the addition of Colleen Clark of EMS, Kristi Rummel of Sierra Magazine, and Traci Schacht of The Timberland Company to positions on its Board of Directors. Serving on the OIWC Board of Directors includes a three-year commitment, active participation on a Board committee, and attendance at three board meetings per year.

“The OIWC is privileged to have these highly qualified women join its Board of Directors,” said Anne Maleady, OIWC nominations chair. “They each bring a special set of skills that complement the Board and increase its effectiveness.”

Colleen Clark has filled a significant role during her 18 years at Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS) as director and vice president of human resources. Prior to joining the EMS team, Colleen worked in retail at several start-ups. Retail is in Colleen's blood, and she loves the constant challenge and change. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of New Hampshire. Mother of two boys, ages 22 and 14, Colleen currently lives in Peterborough, New Hampshire.

She serves on the OIWC Board of Directors as a member of the Sponsorship Committee. The Sponsorship Committee is responsible for procuring funds and/or in-kind services to support the mission and activities of the organization.

Kristi Rummel is the national advertising director of Sierra magazine. She has been involved in the outdoor industry for the past 14 years. For the past 23 years she has worked in the consumer magazine publishing industry for what she calls “smart books”, overseeing the business, marketing and sales side.

Kristi's love for the outdoors lead her to participate in the Outings Trip Leader training workshop and she recently become an official trip leader for the Sierra Club Outings Program organizing and leading Sierra Club members on snowshoeing, paddling, and hiking trips (her favorites). She is a long time contributor and volunteer for the OIA and the OIWC. She served on the Board of Directors of the Advertising Federation of America in charge of professional education and the Geological Society of America. Kristi joins the OIWC Board of Directors Sponsorship committee.

Traci Schacht is currently the director of internal audit for the Timberland Company in Stratham, New Hampshire with responsibilities for development and execution of the audit agenda, facilitation of the enterprise risk assessment, corporate governance, management of the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors agenda, and leadership and staff development.

She previously held roles as a CPA for a regional public accounting firm, Baker Newman & Noyes in Portland, Maine, and as a financial analyst for Burton Snowboards in Burlington, Vermont. She attended the University of Maine and has a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration.

Traci is passionate about the outdoors and volunteers with hiking organizations and the park service to perform various trail maintenance and other projects. She has assumed the position of OIWC Board of Directors Treasurer and serves on the OIWC Board of Directors Executive Committee.
