The Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) on August 5 will present “Improving Your Bottom Line,” a live Webinar workshop. Using the results of the newly published 2009 OIA Retail Financial & Operations Benchmarking Report, this webinar will demonstrate how retailers can improve their bottom line while lowering their investments.

Presented by Dr. Al Bates from Profit Planning Group, Improving Your Bottom Line will emphasize two essential concepts: “Planning Profits First” and “Setting Profit Priorities.” Webinar attendees will be given specific targets and a road map for reaching those targets. The session will run from 2:00 p.m. through 3:00 p.m. (MDT).

“By understanding every financial aspect of business, including sales, gross margin, expenses, inventory and accounts receivable, retailers can improve their financial results not just by a little, but by a lot,” said Ann Obenchain, vice president of member services and marketing for OIA.

Improving Your Bottom Line is the fourth of nine retail workshops in the 2009 OIA Outdoor University program. Outdoor University is offered free to OIA members and for $99 per webinar for non members. Pre-registration is required.
