Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) on Wednesday announced the association’s endorsement of candidate Joe Neguse, in the Democratic primary election for Colorado’s second congressional district and looks forward to supporting his election to the U.S. House of Representatives on November 6.
“OIA’s headquarters and nearly five hundred outdoor businesses make their home in Colorado’s second congressional district,” said Alex Boian, OIA’s vice president of government affairs. “Joe impressed us with his ideas to protect and invest in our land and water, to combat the threats from climate change, and his support for the second congressional district’s $2.5 billion outdoor recreation economy. OIA is proud to stand behind Joe and help get him elected to Congress this fall.”
The endorsement of Joe Neguse is the first by OIA in the 2018 election. In the next several weeks OIA will release additional candidate endorsements for candidates who recognize and support the outdoor recreation economy.
