According to Golf Datatech, golf rounds played during October was down 5.0 percent. Public access play was down 5.4 percent and private course activity was down
3.7 percent.

There were 4115 contributing golf courses used in this report.

By region, the biggest declines occurred in West North Central, down 20.5 percent; East North Central, 15.3 percent; New England, 4.9
percent; Mountain, 2.7 percent; South Central, 2.4 percent; and Pacific,
1.7 percent. The two positive regions were Mid Atlantic, up 5.9 percent; and South Atlantic, 0.8 percent.
