Octane Fitness, a manufacturer of premium elliptical cross trainers, has established an international subsidiary in the United Kingdom and has appointed Neil Campbell as the general manager, responsible for commercial and consumer sales, operations and service in the UK and Ireland.

Octane said this marks the second international office for Octane, which opened its international headquarters in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, in August 2005. Octane Fitness products now are sold in the commercial and consumer markets in more than 20 countries in Europe.

“Increasing demand for Octane Fitness ellipticals has compelled us to create an additional presence in Europe,” said Leo Schreuders, the managing director of Octane Fitness International, “and we are absolutely thrilled to have Neil on board in the largest European market.”

Campbell comes to Octane Fitness with extensive industry experience over the past 12 years. Most recently, he was the consumer business manager for Life Fitness UK. Prior to that, he was the key account manager at Life Fitness UK, responsible for handling large commercial accounts. In 2002 and 2003, Campbell won the Sales Manager of the Year award at Life Fitness. Previously, Campbell spent almost five years combined at two UK health clubs; the Wentworth Tennis and Health Club in Surrey, and London's Broadgate Club.

“I am thrilled to be able to help Octane to build a bigger presence in the important UK market,” Campbell said. “The products are really unique, and I am convinced we will make a lot of customers happy and more successful.”

Campbell earned a B.A. with honors in sports science and history from St.Mary’s University College in Twickenham, U.K.
