The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has named OC Sports, a division of Outdoor Cap Company, as the organization's official headwear for a three year period beginning Nov. 1, 2010.
The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) is the
governing body of two-year college athletics. It is the second largest
national intercollegiate athletic organization in the United States with
over 500 member schools in 43 states.
Per the terms of the partnership OC Sports will offer NJCAA member colleges an exclusive “Buy One, Get One Free” promotion, applicable to all sports, for all three years of the contract. Headwear styles available in the offer include those found in the OC Sports Custom Team Headwear Catalog. NJCAA member colleges can take advantage of the exclusive promotion through Anaconda Sports, the Official Sporting Goods Supplier of the NJCAA, or any other OC Sports dealer.
“We are excited and honored to be partnering with the NJCAA,” said Joe Rubertino, National Sales Manager for OC Sports. “The NCJAA is a well-respected organization, and we look forward to providing their membership with our line of performance oriented, as well as stylish and fashionable, headwear for their players, coaches, and fans.”
In addition to being named the Official Headwear of the NJCAA, OC Sports also receives the naming rights to the NJCAA Baseball and Softball Player of the Week awards for a three year period, beginning with the 2011 seasons. The awards will officially be called the OC Sports NJCAA Baseball/Softball Players of the Week on the NJCAA website (www.njcaa.org) and in all press releases.
Last summer, OC Sports outfitted the 2010 NJCAA Baseball All-Stars that represented the United States at the Haarlem Honkball Tournament in the Netherlands.
“Our new partnership with OC Sports gives NJCAA colleges a tremendous bang for their buck while at the same time purchasing a top-notch, quality product,” said NJCAA Executive Director Mary Ellen Leicht. “I credit Assistant Executive Director Mark Krug with establishing a very positive relationship with OC Sports as a sponsor of the 2010 NJCAA Baseball All-Star team. That initial sponsorship has led to our signing a national contract with OC Sports, which will ultimately benefit all of our member colleges.”
