Oboz Footwear has created a new website that serves and supports Oboz retailers, helps consumers choose and find Oboz, and also promotes the Oboz brand. The new website serves multiple international markets including the United States, Canada, in both French and English, and the United Kingdom. Later this summer, Oboz will launch sites for both the Australian and New Zealand markets.
At the heart of the new website is its ability to connect consumers with Oboz’ brick and mortar retailers.
Oboz partnered with Locally to help direct shoppers to nearby stores that stock Oboz products. When browsing individual products on obozfootwear.com, the Product Locator spans the bottom of the page, showing nearby stores and the stock status of the item. Shoppers learn what’s in stock at Oboz retailers in over 200 cities in the U.S. and Canada. The tool also shows online retailers that carry each style.
Additionally, the site features a Dealer Locator, also powered by Locally. The map-based locator tool helps shoppers find all Oboz dealers in North America and the United Kingdom.
“Locally connects consumers with local retailers,” said Christian Mason, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Oboz. “And that’s absolutely key to the Oboz experience, since we know that once people try on Oboz, they are likely to buy Oboz. We partner with retailers that offer ‘sit and fit’ service because professional fitting reinforces Oboz’ messages of fit, quality and service. So the Locally tools on our site help get shoppers to and through those shop doors.”
The Shoe Finder is another new feature of the site. Visitors can complete a simple survey assessing their interests, type of footwear, likely terrain they’ll travel and more to determine which Oboz styles might best suit their needs.
The website also features a prominent Community portal, where Oboz fans can follow the ‘Trail Tales’ of Oboz ambassadors, read product reviews, tap into how-to advice and learn about Oboz One More Tree events at retailers. It’s the social center of the Oboz brand, with frequent stories that involve the entire Oboz community.
Behind the scenes, and just for retailers, Oboz has created an invitation-only Education Center to enhance retailer knowledge about all things outdoor footwear, including how to fit shoes and boots, materials and construction, the Oboz O FIT SYSTEM story and much more. The Education Center’s videos and downloadable tools supplement in-store clinics led by Oboz’ team of independent sales reps, as well as by Dave Dolph, Oboz’ Outreach, Education and Training Manager. In that role, Dolph brings in-depth knowledge about footwear directly to retailers, piloting the green Obozmobile van around the country. Dolph will make over 170 training and retailer in 2017. The Education Center will launch this summer.
The new website was engineered and designed by Denver-based Cultivator Advertising and Design, and features the new ‘Where to Next’ creative campaign the agency developed for Oboz for 2017, which is featured this year in national and regional print and online advertising including Sierra, Backpacker, Outside and others.
