Sport Obermeyer appointed Linda Rodney as the brand’s national sales director. Rodney will be responsible for the direction and management of all sales and business development, including analysis of markets, competitors, pricing, and distribution strategy. Additionally, she will manage Obermeyer’s tenured national network of sales agencies, representatives and help oversee the internal sales support staff.

Rodney will be a member of Obermeyer’s executive team and work out of the company’s Aspen, CO headquarters.

“Linda is a respected, enthusiastic and accomplished addition to the leadership team at Sport Obermeyer,” said CEO and Founder Klaus Obermeyer. “I am confident in her ability to train and motivate our sales team to excel at supporting, selling and merchandising each and every one of our dealers.”

Rodney has years of experience in the snow sports industry, most recently at Burton Snowboards. While at Burton, she led sales efforts for the Red and Anon brands, growing preseason and reorder sales during a period of rapid growth. Prior to Burton, Rodney held positions at Smith Optics from 1996-2009 as the western regional sales manager, central regional sales manager and national sales manager and continually exceeded sales goals each year. Rodney also worked as a sales representative with Outlook Eyewear Company in Colorado and held a position as a buyer at Nordstrom. Over the years she has built strong relationships across the country with an array of specialty and major retailers.

“I am honored to begin a new chapter with a company so rich in heritage,” said Linda Rodney. “I have always been inspired by Klaus Obermeyer and look forward to being a part of the brand’s continued success.”

Rodney holds a degree in Fashion Merchandising from the University of Wisconsin and has attended Executive Management programs at Stanford University. With an extreme passion for the ski industry and lifestyle, she and her family will reside in Aspen, Colorado.
