NSSF, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, has hired Lisa Davis as its new VP, human resources. She succeeds Deb Kenney, who recently retired after 29 years with NSSF.
NSSF stated in a media release that Davis brings over 25 years of human resources leadership experience across multiple industries, including firearms, e-commerce, healthcare, manufacturing, and global IT consulting.
Most recently, Davis served as HR director at industry manufacturer Gwynedd Manufacturing (Geissele Automatics), and as a member of its executive team.
“First of all, we wish Deb all the best in her well-earned retirement,” said NSSF President and CEO Joe Bartozzi. “She has played an immense role in shaping NSSF’s success over the years. Our organization’s greatest asset is its employees, and Deb has helped build an all-star team that our entire industry can be proud of.
“We’re very happy to welcome Lisa aboard to help build upon that success. She brings a strong skillset and a wealth of experience that will greatly benefit NSSF, its members and the industry we serve,” said Bartozzi.
“The opportunity to help build such an amazing team of professionals at NSSF has truly been a pleasure,” said Kenney. “Working alongside such extraordinary talent and observing their work and dedication up close and personal every day has been most rewarding. While my decision to retire is bittersweet, I look forward to this new and exciting chapter.”
