The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the national trade association for the firearms industry based in Newtown, CN, announced that Carlos Guevara, VP and general counsel of Glock, Inc., has been appointed to the NSSF Board of Governors. Guevara brings decades of legal, operational and leadership experience within the firearm industry to his new role on the board.
In his current position at Glock, Guevara oversees a broad range of critical functions, including Legal Compliance, HR, Marketing, Media Relations, Import/Exports, Finance, Quality, and Environmental Health and Safety operations.
Before Glock, Guevara served as corporate counsel for multinational corporations and later held the general counsel position at Xerox Corporation’s subsidiary in Colombia. He joined Glock in 1999 as Import/Export department manager and was promoted to General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in 2006. By 2012, he had earned the title of VP of Glock, driving the company’s U.S. operations.
