NSSF, the trade association for the firearm industry, has added Laurie Lipsey Aronson and Marvin C. Daniel to its Board of Governors.

Aronson is chairwoman and CEO of Lipsey’s, LLC, based in Baton Rouge, LA. The company is one of the largest independently owned, single-location firearm distributors in the country. The firm’s business roots date back to the 1940s, and it has been owned by the Lipsey family since 1977. Aronson succeeded her father, Richard Lipsey, as head of the company, becoming the third generation and first woman to lead a Lipsey family business.

“I am honored to have been asked to join NSSF’s Board of Governors,” said Aronson. “I will be sitting amongst the wonderful leaders in our industry, and I look forward to working with them.”

In addition to serving on the NSSF Board of Governors, Aronson currently serves as Chairwoman of the National Sporting Goods Wholesalers Association (NASGW).

Daniel is president and CEO of Daniel Defense, a firearm, parts and accessories manufacturing company. Daniel founded the company in 2001 in Savannah, GA.

“Our company has always been a huge supporter of the NSSF,” said Daniel. “I now look forward to playing an even more active role in working with the NSSF in support of the Second Amendment and the shooting sports industry.”
