NSGA appointed Jeff Miller, owner and president of Scholastic Sports Sales, Ltd., to its board of directors. This announcement is made
following the annual board of directors meeting during the conference
& summit. Miller will serve a three-year term, which began June 1,
2015.
“We are pleased to add a member to the NSGA Board whose
organization has such a deep history in the industry,” said Matt
Carlson, NSGA president and CEO. “We are excited about Jeff’s enthusiasm
to contribute to the Board and the Association.”
Jeff Miller is
the Owner/President of Scholastic Sports Sales, Ltd., a sporting goods
dealer that has been family owned since 1974, and has over 100 years of
team sporting goods experience. Scholastic Sports Sales sells sporting
goods and athletic uniforms to over 1,000 high schools, colleges, youth
organizations and coaches predominantly in upstate New York. In addition
to having a rich history, they have been a member of the Athletic
Dealers of America for over 30 years.
“Now that Scholastic
Sports Sales is transitioning into its’ third generation of ownership,
it is humbling to have the opportunity to serve on the NSGA Board of
Directors,” said Miller. “I consider this appointment to be a small way
for me to give back to an industry that has allowed the Miller family to
be a part of it for over 41 years.”
Salvador Colom (Deportes Salvador Colom) reached the end of his term of service on the NSGA Board.
“We
would like to thank Salvador Colom for his board service and insight,”
Carlson said. It has served us well and we look forward to continuing
our relationship with Deportes Salvador Colom.”
