Tecnica Group USA and Nordica USA President Peter Weaver announced that Scott Russo will take over as vice president of Nordica USA effective June 15, 2015.
“Scott is a very respected and capable professional in the ski industry,” said Weaver. “With his background, expertise and work ethic I am delighted and honored that he is joining us to lead the Nordica USA team. It comes at the perfect time as Nordica introduces new products with a sharp focus on what our consumers expect of the brand. Scott can build upon this base with his deep experience in the U.S. marketplace as well as with his international experience on the product side. He will lead the sales, product planning and marketing activities of the U.S. company.”
Most recently, Russo was Vice President of Sales for Dalbello USA. He had worked for Dalbello for 20 years and was instrumental in its growth and market position. Prior to joining Dalbello USA, he served as Dalbello's International Product and Marketing Manager in Italy where he directed product and planning for the factory. During that time he coordinated the effort, along with Dalbello's factory team, in researching, testing, planning, developing and marketing its ski boot collections for its international export markets.

I believe I'm arriving at a particularly opportune time to capitalize on all the excitement surrounding Nordica's new collection of boots and skis. Nordica continues to be one of the most highly respected and revered ski equipment brands. My goal is to lead the effort to support Nordica's excellent products with the best, most creative, and most committed sales and customer service teams in the industry.”
The new 2016 Nordica product line that was introduced earlier this year received a positive reception and good preseason orders in the U.S. It is upon this foundation that Russo will be building Nordica's future strength.
