Andy Hare will depart Nordica USA after more than 18 years with the company to help run a family business.

Hare has been recruited by his family to return to Great Barrington, MA to run a multi-generational family business, according to Tecnica Group USA CEO and Nordica USA President Peter Weaver.

“Andy has been an integral part of Nordica and has always provided a passionate commitment to the company in a variety of duties,” said Weaver.

Hare has worked as Race Manager, Product Manager, Strategic Alliance and Partner Marketing Manager, and Marketing Director.

“His competitive spirit and deep knowledge of the ski industry will be missed, but we intend to have him closely aligned with the brand and to continue to provide coordination of valuable partnership marketing programs which he helped build, such as the Subaru WinterFest Program,” said Weaver. “We will miss him at Nordica, but understand the unique nature of this opportunity for him and his family, and wish him success in the future.”

Hare said has 18 years with Nordica have been incredible.

“They have given me the opportunity to learn the workings of the ski industry that will be beneficial in continuing to provide relationships with key strategic partners for Nordica,” Hare said. “I have worked with truly great people, met countless new friends and built relationships that I will have for the rest of my life. And as a new chapter unfolds, I am very excited to join the family business.”

At the same time, this change also precipitates some internal reorganization for Nordica USA and the Tecnica Group USA team.

Wendy Reger (Hare), is another valued employee of 18 years, who has been supervising Customer Service as well providing operational support for the sales and marketing teams.

“We know that in the coming months, Wendy and her family will move out of the area; however, until that time, Wendy's role as Customer Service Manager remains completely unchanged,” said Weaver. “We will now begin reassessing Wendy's duties that require in-house supervision and be ready with solutions for when Wendy is no longer here on a daily basis. We do know there are needs that Wendy can successfully perform remotely for Tecnica Group USA and we look forward to defining them in the coming weeks.”
