Nordica USA, a manufacturer of ski equipment, appointed Sam Beck as director of marketing and communications for the Nordica group.
Beck will be responsible for creating and executing marketing strategies and tactics that will drive Nordica’s growth. In addition, he will help overall brand development and messaging in the marketplace. Both Nordica boots and skis have experienced growth over the past two seasons, and marketing and promotional investments for both product categories will be expanded in 2017 to provide a stronger presence throughout the U.S.
Beck moves to his new position from his previous role as Nordica ski product manager, where he had been instrumental in the development and market launch of the Nordica Enforcer series of skis. Beck attended the University of Vermont where he enjoyed a successful ski racing career on the UVM Ski Team.
In another move within the Nordica USA management team, Ethan Korpi will take on the dual role of Nordica product manager for both boots & skis, as well as Nordica race manager. In this position, Korpi will work closely with Nordica’s global product development team to drive product innovation, as well as with the U.S. sales and marketing teams as he oversees product execution, market analysis, and go-to-market strategies. Korpi will also oversee Nordica USA’s Race programs.
Korpi has enjoyed a successful tenure with Nordica for the past eight years as ski boot product manager. Korpi is a Vermont native and a graduate of the University of Vermont where he, like Sam Beck, enjoyed a successful ski racing career on the UVM Ski Team.
Lastly, Wendy Reger, formerly marketing manager for Nordica, will be leaving the company following a relocation of her family to Massachusetts. Reger has been a valued Nordica team member for the past 20 years, and we wish her great success in her new adventures.
