NOMAD Aquatics and Fitness, a swim and fitness facility in Huntersville, NC has been sold to new owner Mark Minier,
a swim coach from Atlanta who was looking to invest in an aquatics center of his own, by way of Viking Mergers & Acquisitions.
NOMAD Aquatics and Fitness was founded by Steve and Myra Billings over 25 years ago and since then they have grown the business into a major factor in the Charlotte market and the Southeast, with a 38,000-square-foot facility and a 300 member swim team. Steve and Myra Billings decided it was time to retire and sought out the services of a third-party firm to help broker the deal.
“After all these years, we knew it was time to sell,” says Steve Billings, founder of NOMAD Aquatics and Fitness. “Selling a business is a major undertaking and we wanted a professional to represent us, which is why we hired Brad Offerdahl,” Steve continues. Being such a large swim center, Brad knew interest would be high and confidentiality would be key. “I knew we would need to take extra precautions to protect confidentiality while searching for the perfect buyer,” said Brad Offerdahl, founder of Viking Mergers & Acquisitions.
Founded in 1996, Viking Mergers & Acquisitions has sold more than 500 businesses across the Southeast.
