Nikwax® North America is reporting a substantial sales increase for teh first half of the year. Sales of Nikwax waterproofing products increased by 22% over the most recent two quarters, compared to the same period last year.
According to Tom Savelle, sales manager for Nikwax North America, the sales
increase proves that Nikwax remains the strongest company in the aftercare
market. “The category of waterproofing solutions has become more competitive
and crowded over the past few years,” says Savelle. “Our increase in sales
show that Nikwax is still the solid leader in the industry regardless of
any competitive challenges”
An ongoing objective of Nikwax has been to establish consumer awareness around the value of aftercare through innovative POP marketing and a national advertising campaign. “While there is still work to be done, it
seems consumers are gaining a better understanding of the importance of preserving and protecting their expensive gear,” comments Savelle. “It's an exciting time for our industry when even the largest company in the category
has this kind of success.”
