Nikwax Ltd. recently announced that Chas Fisher, president of Nikwax N.A., will extend his role by leading the international Nikwax marketing and identity team.


Fisher will be responsible for the strategic and tactical branding efforts of Nikwax in the global market. He will continue to oversee the company’s North American subsidiary.

“Nikwax began as a U.K. company 30 years ago, but we rapidly expanded to Europe, the United States and beyond,” said Nick Brown, founder and managing director. “Chas has been integral in building and sustaining our market lead in the U.S. His innate marketing skills combined with his considerable international experience will strengthen Nikwax’s place in existing foreign markets and open doors to opportunity in untapped regions.”


Fisher has been in the outdoor industry since 1985, working both in the field and in the boardroom. In 2004, he was hired as general manager for Nikwax North America. One year later he was promoted to president of the North American division and brought in as a company director for Nikwax Ltd. Prior to his most recent promotion, he served on several Nikwax global teams, including the commercial management team and the sales and marketing team.


“The aftercare market in North America is robust, with enormous untapped potential and our position in all markets has never been stronger,” said Fisher. “Recent shifts in the competitive landscape and the growing demand for environmentally-sound products mean that Nikwax is well-positioned to build on this success domestically, increase our share of the international market, and focus our energies on building the aftercare category.”
