Officials from Watershed USA, the managing partner of Nikwax USA, and Nick Brown, owner of Nikwax Ltd., have announced that they will part ways on June 1, 2004.
For the past 11 years, Nikwax Ltd. has been selling its waterproofing products through Nikwax USA, a partnership between Watershed USA and Nicholas Brown. However, the time has come for the partnership to fold and new arrangements to be put in place.
Nikwax UK is committed to expanding its position in the North American market and will establish a new headquarters in Seattle, Wash. The new corporation is called Nikwax North America, Inc. and will be wholly owned by Nikwax Ltd. Nick Brown said, The change in ownership will permit our company to increase investment and emphasis on the US market, which we feel has great potential for expansion.
Watershed USA announced on April 22 the creation of a custom fulfillment and back-office operation business specific to the outdoor market, taking on the ex-Nikwax USA staff and facilities. The new venture is already up and running and has signed its first major client PacSafe Designs travel products.
“I wish the ex-Nikwax USA staff all the best in their new business venture, as Watershed USA” said Nick Brown. “They have assured impeccable service for Nikwax over the years. I understand their desire to diversify their product offering and focus on service and efficiency.”

We hope to continue to work with our existing customers as we develop the fulfillment and logistics side of our business and partner with new clients that offer top-quality products to the outdoor industry.”
